Thinking hats

When I was a year 4 it was so hard working in paper but now it is easier because I have a netbook.

When you get a netbook you can delete things faster.It will be faster to write with becaues you can edit faster.

It is a pain for us to remember to charge batteries.We can't work without a charged netbook.Like in the morning. 

Comes with a bigger screen a mouse so you can draw.And faster internet.-

Camp Benzon

Camp Benzon

Last week on tuesday we went to catch a bus to sandspit to go on the ferry To camp benzon.

When we got to camp Benzon we got our camp bag and put them on the deck I saw some wekas. The bags were so heavy then we got some food and took them to Mr coop.Then we got the potatoes And took them to the kitchen.


Then we had to go back but there is 2 hills to go up.The rest is going down.
When we got back we got to have free time we played volley ball then we got to go have a swim.

My favorite activity was Confidence and sailing it was so cool.Confidence was my best.
But sailing was cool because you go fast when the wind blows.

Camp was so cool.

Going to camp

Tomorrow The years 6 are going to Kawau island at 7 0'clock.

I am looking forward to making A raft because it looks fun and easy.I have never made a raft.I think it going to be fun.

The scaling is going to be a challenge because It looks hard.I forgot the stuff I only remember sail mast center board .But I dont no If the boat is big all small.

I am really excited tomorrow.

Triathlon

On wednesday we went to Triathlon we practise what to do.We put on our helmet but you can't ride transition.

We did 5 laps on the water slide 2 laps riding the bike around
the field and 1 lap running.I came third I was exhausted.

On the last triathlon I didn't do the the water slide I did running until they finished the water slide.
When I went to go put on my helmet I went on the bike and did the two laps.

But on the last one I almost split I still went. Then I put back the bike.

I was hot I wa slowing down. But I just came 2nd.

The shops

One morning at school I had to go to the shop to get some milk . Something was strange, there were people in a black van wearing something on their heads that was black.They had guns I was so scared they where going to shot me.

As I got close to the shop someone said give me your money the shopkeeper said no then I heard a loud bang. When I went to go have a look there was lots of blood on the floor.I came up to him and kick him in his face.

I grabbed his gun and shot him the car lift they lift him behind.I rang the police it didn't work so I said to someone to call the police. It did work It took them 5 minutes to get here.

They took the shopkeeper to the hospital and they took the robber to jail.I just got the milk and went to go.I told my friend Kori Lee what happen he didn't believe me.

Pop-up

1.You will need.
A pencil
A ruler
 scissors
glue

coloured pencils
Tow pieces of stiff paper
one smaller piece of stiff paper.

2. Fold the tow larger pieces of paper in half
and crease them.on the one these pieces measure
about 8 centimetres along the folder edge and make a mark with your pencil .Measure the same distance from the other end and make another
mark. Use your ruler to draw a
2.5 centimetre line down from each mark. cut along the lines to mack a flap.

Glue the other pieces of  folded paper to the back of the card .
be careful not to
get any glue behind the flap.

Take the smaller piece of paper and draw a pop up
picture for you card draw a background for the
picture. Then cut out the pop up picture and glue it on to the bottom
half of the pop up flap.

When the glue is dry write a message on your card and give it to a friend.

Impossible Brideg

I was trying to make a bridge out of paper It was easy.We readed a book how to make a bridge.
There are lots of bridges to. My fravrit bridge is the arch bridge.

Cut the paper in half.

Fold the piece of the paper like this

Lie the other piece of paper on top 
of the folded piece.

Put a weight on the bridge to

find out how strong it is.

I have been doing agree or disagree it was easy to do.It was about bridges.

I like because there yum.They have fruit in it like banana and apple.I like it

Olympic

Yesterday we had our hole school Olympics day.

I was in sweden the colour of the flag was yellow and blue. We were allowed to bring yellow and blue close to school that represent our flag.I only had a blue shirt and not yellow.We got our codes on our hand.

Then we went to go on the courts to start the game.The first one we went to was rounders.
It was hard for me I didn't even kick it far.We didn’t even get a home run.

Then we went to touch I was team 1.It was hard too I only got the ball one time.
First to get the try was the other team.Then they gotta try again we lost by 3/0.

Going Swimming

In the holidays I went to the beach with my mum because it was hot sunny day. I asked my friend Kori if he wanted to come. We went in the car and when we got there I jumped in and it was cold. My mum said don't go out far!

My mum went home to get togs for her because she wanted to have a swim to.
Kori didn't listen he went out far He jumped in and it was deep. A wave washed him away I saw something moving in the water and it was going close up to Kori, I told Kori to get out but he didn't want to.I saw Kori panicking and stuff that looks like blood.Kori only had one
leg.

I was panicking too I did not know what to do so I jumped in with a chainsaw, I didn’t
want to get eaten. I was mad because he was my friend and he was getting eaten.
I went up to the shark and cut its head off. With the chainsaw.

I rang the ambulance and they came like in 2 minutes. I said to Kori are you ok and
he said no.When my mum came she said what happen I said Kori almost eaten by
a shark.

Weekend

Last weekend I went to my friend house and he live on my street.

what I did there was play on the Ps3. The game I played was
call of dute black ops it was hard I kept on dying.Then my friend played zombies it was hard to I kept on dying and he always saved me.Then I died we went outside and played on his
Trampoline.

Then his dog came on and started to chase as I went up the tree.
When she went I was coming down and I almost fell of.But when she came back she tried to come on.After that we went to the school and I went on the longboard.

What I felt was angry.

You have a gift. Tommy Kapai wilson made me be happy and made me laugh
he was a funny person.He told us about he had eleven kids.
Then we read this book and it was about this kid and she said when I grow up want to be a
princes.Then the mum told the dad about a princes that had died.

Skinks

Skinks are lizards they are native to New Zealand and they are protected.

Skinks have dry scales on their body. Adult Skinks are about 60 millimeters to 140
millimeters long. You can’t measure the tail because it always falls of and grows in a
different length.They have small eyes but its eyesight is excellent.The Skinks skin dosing grow with them it is very small pieces.

Skinks mainly are carnivores and they eat insects bugs spiders and soft fruit of native trees. They can eat anything they can attack.


They are found in different places in New Zealand,  from warm areas to cold areas in the south. Skinks live in rocky areas like the  seashore, forest floor,tussock, alpine mountains. Skinks like sun basking in the sun to keep them selves warm.

I think Skinks are weird.

In the weekend I went to have a swim at the Pt England  beach.
When we got there I jumped in the water and when I went down the rock
I fell over.

Then I saw Kyal in the water and I said s’up and he said s’up back.
After that we went to jump off the rock and it was fun.

Then we went to go play on the new playground.
We started to play rugby and in was so muddy and I slid in the mud and I was so
muddy and it was fun.

When we finish the game we went to go on the swing and it
can go hy and it was so fun and cool.

When They go to the stadium it Continues to burn and they put it out Extinguished.
The last person carrying it is famous.

When it is out they can do the Olympic and it was lit on thursday.
And the game of the Olympics is going start on saturday.

The game is in the opening ceremony and I am going to watch it in my room.

Evan's weekend

In the weekend I went to my sister’s new house on Maybury Street. It is next to my friend's house.

When I went to my sister’s new house she had two bedrooms and it was big.
She has a big bathroom and one toilet and a big sitting room.

The back yard it is small and on the side but it is big enough to play rugby and soccer.
In the front it is a little bigger and I like it in the front because it is better.

In the room it has one big closet and it is good to play hide and seek.
When you go into it and turn off the light it is really black and hard to see.

Vincent Van Gogh.

I tried to copy Vincent Van Gogh painting of the bedroom  it was hard to do. He painted the Bedroom in 1888 and he painted it with oil paint.



I tried doing the wall and I mixed blue and white together to make it lighter.
It was hard to make the right colour and the floor to.
But before the wall and floor was dark thats way it is lighter now.

My work Is not the same  but Van Gogh’s painting is better then my one.
But my work is messy my table is missing one leg to and it doesn't even look like a table.
Inside Van Gogh’s bedroom on the wall there’s  a picture of him I was going to do but it doesn't look like him.
    
What I feel about my painting is that it looks ugly. The floor doesn't look like one.I don’t like my table because it is missing a leg.The chairs they don’t look like one to.

Vincent Van Gogh painted Starry Starry night in 1889.

The moon is yellow and its bright like the stars but the village is dark.  The colour of the sky is mostly blue and yellow. The sky is swirling like a koru.  When you look closely you can see broad brush strokes and the sunset.

The tree stands out the mosts. When you look at the houses there are lights. In the foreground you can see the church steeple and the tree.

In our school assembly this morning, some teachers were dressed up. We have a new topic it is Art Alive.

Van Gogh was a famous painter, but when he was sad he got so crazy he chopped off his ear. The painting he  liked was the flower painting. He sold it for 82  million dollars.Mrs Garden was van gogh but she was pretending.

Van Gogh painted sunflowers in 1888 and it was worthless, but in 1987 it sold $40 000 000. He painted it with oil paints.


He did his painting with yellow it makes him feel happy and the colors he used was yellow
orange and brown.


I like Van Gogh’s painting because it bright and colorful because he felt happy and He made his pictures detailed. But what I don’t like about this painting it’s got to much paint 
         
When Van Gogh painted his sunflowers it had old sunflowers and young ones. It has yellow and orange and brown colors. I don’t like this painting that much.

Van Gogh painted this picture for his friend Paul Ganguin.because he was coming from France.

This is Van Gogh sunflower painting and it is famous.

Maud island frog

Maud Island frogs are native to New Zealand, and they are different to other frogs.

This frog lives in Marlborough sounds and under logs rocks and on steep hills and damp places and in bushes. They don’t live in water they live above water.

Maud Island frogs eat beetles insects and larvae and worms most frogs catch
their food with their tongues But Maud island frog pounces on its prey
and gobbles it.

Maud island frogs enemies are lizards but the problem is the rats disease and the Maud island frogs are dying

I feel sorry for these frogs because they are nearly extinct.

Evan's School Camp

Last week year 6/5 was camping at Pt England School we had 56 tents on the felled.
The first thing we did was top team when I did the balloons thay kept on popping and
I felt angry.

The most thing I was looking forward to was get lost because it looks fun but the
frog eggs looks gross and yuck I did not want to eat it.

When I was about to go sleep my my friend farted and it smelled .
My goal is to get better at top team because my balloons kept on popping.

Then we went kayaking we walked to the beach. when we got there we can only
got to the the point and back.

Friday

On Friday mornings we go to assemble and we have ms Muliaumasealii.
Ms Muliaumasealii is a art teacher we do lots off work and art.
I like ms Muliaumasealii because we do lots off staff and its fun.
Some times we don’t have her but we had a norther teacher.

Thursday

On Thursday I walked to school when I got there we went to netball And played some games.
We did chest pass and more and at the end we played a cool game with hole class.
Then we went to class and went on are notebooks and did some work.
When we finish we can have free time.

Wednesday

On Wednesday when I got to school we went to ICT and Music for our asttle test.
When we finish we went to the hall and played a game. After That It was lunch time when
the bell rung We did some work then I went Home And watch TV then went to bed.

Tuesday

On Tuesday when I waked up I felt good but when I got to school we had to do lots of work and I was angry. after mooring tea we did maths and I did not finish so I had to finish it at home. after school when I got back I had to finish of my work. when I finished I went to the takeaway to get my dinner. then I went to sleep.
