Our task this term was to imagine we have to leave Earth to find another planet to live on. Here is my movie.

Outta This World- Exploring Space

Here is a  movie about exploring some of the planets in our solar system.

netbook

At the beginning of the year we got to buy netbooks to use at school and at home. I like to go on my net book because I can type, not write. I like blogging some times and I like to go on tux paint. I play games too but it is boring. We sometimes have to edit our work. It is easier to fix up mistakes.
We do xtramath, we do it a lot because it helps us get faster at our basic facts. My favorite thing though is free time. We get to go on you tube and get to take pictures.
If we went back to paper I would feel angry because it will be hard. I really like using netbooks at school.

The First Rollerskates

Walking to pools

On Thursday room 14 and room 16 went to go swimming. We had to walk down the road, past people and some dogs. Finally we got to the pools.

When we got there I got changed. We had a shower then I hopped in the pool.I kicked my self off the wall and I was gliding gracefully. I started doing a powerful kick and when I got to the end I was exhausted and drained. When I got out of the pool I got a shock of cold then I got changed. We went back to school and it was lunch time.

Evan saving a whale

Whale researcher, Michael Fishbach and his family motored out over the glassy water of the Sea of Cortez in their small runabout. They were out making whale observations, unaware that soon they would help save the life of one of the world’s most magnificent creatures, a humpback whale.

They got closer the whale blew forcefully out of its blowhole It was still alive.

The whale was still alive but it was trapped in a gill net. It was nearly dead because the net was tied up around its body.

Michael had only one small knife to cut the the whale free thay were cutting and cutting. about a half of a hour thay gave up

Badminton

On Thursday Room 14 went to the hall to learn a new sport. We met our coach called Lorene. I was too busy looking at the gear that I didn’t hear her say, “The first skill is learning how to serve.” I was so excited about playing badminton. I served to my partner Jonathan. He hit the racket back to me. It was hard to serve. We tried to hit the racket and keep it in the air for as long as we could.

Once we finished we played a game where we had to hit the racket over the red line. We had to hit the racket and run to the back of the line. Then Lorene would hit it, then the next person and so on.

The next day we had a new teacher, her name was Donna. We played a game where we had to hit the shuttle over a net. There were two nets, one for the boys and one for the girls. We got split into two groups. Everyone lined up on one side and the rest of us lined up on the other side. I was the first one out of the game. Then the next person got up to play and it went on and on.

Even though I liked playing badminton, soccer is my favourite sport because you can kick the ball with your legs. You can find me playing soccer with my friends at morning tea time and lunch.

Keep your eye on the ball

As soon as I walked in the hall I saw Mr J wearing a bushy hair that was green and a flag on his back. Then he yelled out Ireland!! It was so loud. 

Team 1 was first item. It was funny. They were handing out food. But we had a ticket to get the food but I didn't get one.

Next up was Team 2! Then team 3. Theirs was a computation. The  All Blacks won.

Team 4 had a movie. It was cool.

Going To Motat

On Wednesday Room 14 and 13 went to Motat. It was so cool we did lots of fun stuff but first we had morning tea. 


Next we went in the Tactile Dome. It was so freaky. I thought I was going to die. Then we went After lunch  we went to play games and then we had to go home on the bus.

My weekend

In the weekend I was playing God of War on P.S.2, it was so cool. I had a shower and then I had my tea, it was fish and chips, it was delicious. When I went to bed I had a good sleep and in the morning I got up to have my breakfast. My breakfast was toast, then I went to school. When I got there I played Touch with Michael and Lukis, then the bell rang. I had to go to class to make comments on blogs and then do BBC typing games.

Swimming

On Thursday room 14 and room 16 went to go swimming. We had to walk down the road, past people and some dogs. Finally we got to the pools.
When we got there I got changed. We had a shower then I hopped in the pool.I kicked my self off the wall and I was gliding gracefully.I started doing a powerful kick and when I got to the end I was exhausted and drained. When I got out of the pool I was cold then I got changed then we went back to school and when we got back it was lunch time.

Going Onto The Hydroslide

When I went up the steep steps I was huffing and puffing. There was chatter echoing. After walking up the steep steps my legs felt like they were going to fall off. Then it was my turn. I was zooming and tossing and turning. .

School Picnic

Last Friday room fourteen went for a picnic at the Point England Reserve. We played cricket and softball. Some of room fourteen had a swim, had a little bit of some lunch then I went to play on the play ground. I had a great time, James and more people and I played cricket. It was my turn, I did a powerful hit. I was happy, my friend James was happy too. We had a great day.
My favourite part was going to have a swim, I liked to go under water. We made sand castles, I helped. When we finished we got some water and fruit from Mrs Jarman.
When we went back to school I felt sleepy.
